Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms govern use of the Hope For Paws Foundation Marketplace, including browsing, accounts, Buy Now purchases, auctions and bids, seller activity, promotions, shipping, donations, communications, and related services. Additional policies displayed for a transaction are incorporated where applicable.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Users must provide accurate information, maintain appropriate control of account credentials, and keep relevant contact and shipping information current. Users are responsible for activity conducted through their accounts to the extent permitted by law.

3. Marketplace role

The marketplace may include items offered by Hope For Paws Foundation and approved third-party sellers. The identity or role of the seller should be shown where applicable. Hope For Paws Foundation may administer marketplace rules and transactions but does not promise the conduct or performance of independent sellers, carriers, financial institutions, or other third parties.

4. Listings and condition

Merchandise may be donated, pre-owned, vintage, unique, or one of a kind unless stated otherwise. Users should review listing descriptions, photographs, condition information, shipping terms, and transaction-specific disclosures before purchasing or bidding.

5. Auctions

Auctions are governed by the Auction Rules. Bids may create binding purchase obligations if the bidder becomes the valid winner. Auction results are determined by the marketplace's server-side records and applicable reserve, timing, fraud, and technical-error rules.

6. Prices and checkout

Merchandise prices, bids, shipping, taxes, discounts, and voluntary contributions should be identified separately where applicable. Hope For Paws Foundation may correct an obvious typographical, technical, or system error before fulfillment or take other reasonable corrective action when a transaction is materially affected.

7. Sellers

Approved sellers must comply with marketplace seller requirements, listing rules, fulfillment obligations, financial terms, and applicable law. Seller approval or continued participation is not guaranteed and may be reviewed, restricted, suspended, or ended according to marketplace policies.

8. Shipping, returns, and payments

The Shipping & Combined Shipping Policy, Returns & Damaged Items Policy, and Payment Policy govern those subjects. Carrier delivery dates, financial-institution posting times, and third-party service availability are not guaranteed by Hope For Paws Foundation.

9. Donations and mission statements

Marketplace activity is intended to support Hope For Paws Foundation's charitable mission. References to impact, proceeds, goals, or examples describe intended mission support and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular purchase will fund a specific animal, program, outcome, or amount unless expressly stated and documented for that transaction.

10. Prohibited conduct

Users may not engage in fraud, harassment, shill bidding, bid manipulation, unlawful activity, counterfeit sales, security interference, automated abuse, deceptive conduct, or other activity that threatens users, animals, the Foundation, or marketplace integrity.

11. Account and transaction review

Hope For Paws Foundation may review, restrict, suspend, or terminate marketplace access, listings, bids, orders, payouts, or other activity when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, safety, legal obligations, nonpayment, policy violations, disputes, or material system errors.

12. Intellectual property

Hope For Paws Foundation names, branding, original marketplace content, and other protected materials may not be copied, misrepresented, or commercially reused without authorization except as permitted by law.

13. Availability and technical issues

Reasonable efforts may be made to maintain marketplace availability, but uninterrupted or error-free service is not promised. If a material technical issue affects a transaction, Hope For Paws Foundation may take reasonable corrective action, including pausing, extending, cancelling, reversing, or reviewing affected activity where permitted.

14. No outcome guarantees

Marketplace information may include estimates, goals, expected handling periods, fundraising descriptions, or third-party status information. Except for obligations that cannot legally be disclaimed, Hope For Paws Foundation does not promise specific delivery dates, resale values, auction outcomes, seller performance, tax results, charitable outcomes, or uninterrupted third-party services.

15. Changes

These Terms and incorporated policies may be updated prospectively. Material changes should be posted with an effective date and, when appropriate, users may be asked to accept updated terms before additional marketplace activity.
